Tracfone LG Fiesta (L64VL/63BL) Review Full details and specs on the LG Fiesta collected and shared by.LG Fiesta ReviewThe LG Fiesta was just released by Tracfone with a large 5.5' touchscreen, Android 7.0 and 16 GB memory. It is a big phone with big specs, but comes at a reasonable price.Tracfone is continuing to add smartphones to their lineup that feature 16 GB internal memory, which is a must for many users. Anonymoussaid.I don't understand the hate for the Fiesta.the camera is essentially free from HSN, by including the $125 smart Plan, which equals the triple minutes for life, $30 for 3 month card.Screen resolution is the same as the J3 Sky.Comparing it to an unlocked Moto G4, which will cost you an extra $150 for a smaller screen, smaller battery, and smaller camera, just doesn't make sense.People, you are getting a 5.5' screen, essentially for free, and you are complaining about the phone? My wife has this as an upgrade over her Rebel, and loves it.You want great specs? Then pay $300-$400 for a phone, instead of getting this one for free. Said.I like the phone.
720p screen is better than the last phone lg power. 5.5 inch is plenty big not as bad to hold as I thought it would be (5' still best). 1.5GB ram is really the only limiting factor but all the apps I use launch fast (compared to my lg power). My lg power would also freeze up for a few seconds - 20 seconds when playing videos in chrome randomly and this one does not. Android 7 is much better than 5 (Do not disturb works properly). 16GB of store is sweet spot as 8GB was just a little to shy. Anonymoussaid.I recently purchased the Tracfone Fiesta (LG L64VL) from HSN - the cost was $139.95 but I used Visa Checkout and got $20 off making the phone $119.95.
The one-year minutes, texts and data that come with this phone is a $125 value alone! My current Tracfone is the LG Power(L22c) which comes with triple minutes. Using the Tracfone website I activated my new Fiesta phone and transferred my phone number. The minutes, text and data from my old phone automatically transferred to the new phone during the activation process. It took 1 (yes one) minute to do the transfer. I then downloaded the Tracfone Transfer Wizard to both phones and completed the transfer of all my contacts, photos, etc. That took maybe 4-5 minutes to complete.
It all worked perfectly with absolutely no problems! Said.I purchased my LG Fiesta a couple of weeks ago from HSN and I am very happy with my purchase. I had an xStyle for about 4 months.
My old LG Ultimate 2 (that my bestie was using) died, so when I was able to purchase the Fiesta, I gave her my xStyle. The Fiesta has all of the bells and whistles that I was looking for on my phone (larger screen, more internal memory, better camera).
I loved my xStyle (I would definitely recommend it to others), yet the Fiesta has the features I was originally looking for. The only think I still don't like with LG phones is the fact that they include too much bloatware that isn't removable, therefore taking away space that can be utilized.
The fact that the Fiesta doesn't come with triple minutes doesn't matter with me. I only put minutes on my phone on the average of 3 times a year and I text more than I talk on it. Overall, I would highly recommend the Fiesta and I plan to keep this for a while!
Said.Actually you can use the voice text. It's through Google. Hit the Microphone Icon in the Google Search Bar on your phone and say 'Text' You can set up your contacts to only show ones with mobile numbers but you have to make sure you have the numbers designated as such. When you 'speak' to Google, tell it to text whomever, you can speak your message. Say 'period' when you want to end a sentence. Exclamation Point to put one at the end of the sentence.
Smiley Face to insert a smiley emoji. Spell out names and words letter by letter if it is a word that will easily be misinterpreted. Once you are silent, Google will display your text and ask you if you want to change or send.I use voice to text all of the time. I hope this helps.
Said.I bought the Fiesta a few days ago on Amazon for $139. That included a promotional card from Tracfone for 60 days of service, 1000 minutes, 2000 texts and 2GB of data which they figure is worth about $40. I opted for this deal instead of the HSN offer because I had just recently purchased a year of service on the Tracfone website for $50 and as far as I know none of these minutes, etc.
Will disappear at the end of a year. Before I activated the new phone I took a screen shot of my account on the 'My Account' app just in case everything didn't transfer. I usually call Tracfone to activate because I want to make sure I don't lose anything but this time I decided to throw caution to the winds and activate the new phone online. I was totally impressed; after entering the serial # and the sim # it took about two minutes to transfer EVERYTHING to the new phone. I had to turn the phone off and then back on again before making a call and the first call went to Verizon. Have no idea why but I hung up and tried calling again and this time the call went through to the right number.
When I opened the 'My Account' app to see if all my minutes had transferred successfully and the extra promotion included with the phone had been added, there was a message to call customer service to complete the transaction. I called and gave the rep my phone number and she assured me the promotional items had been added to my account. I did ask her to look to see how much data I had (just to make sure) and she gave me a number that was way above what I should have ended up with after the 'freebies' from Amazon. I re-opened the 'My Account' app and was VERY pleasantly surprised to see the amounts that had been added. They were ALL way above what was stated in the listing on Amazon!
So far I'm really pleased with this phone. I thought maybe the size would be an issue but I love the larger screen.
I've been a Tracfone customer since 2010 and am happy to have saved a ton of money on cell phone service. Have read a lot of the negative reviews about this phone on HSN and the majority of them have nothing to do with the phone itself. They give the phone one star because there are no triple minutes. Thanks so much for this great website! I've learned a lot and have recommended it to others contemplating changing their service to Tracfone.
Said.Just got my new phone which took over my lg power and thought it looked great. So I I was a little disappointed that it didn't get the triple minutes that people said in their reviews, but still thought it was a still! Because of the free one yr service and 1500 minutes!WELL I ACTIVATED IT AND 4500talk text and data was tripled!!!!😀😀😀😀😀 So happy great phone and six times more minutes than I was gettingBut keep in mind I bought the one service cards that gave 400 tripled that was 1200 a year.
Anonymoussaid. This smartphone is a big jump for me from by previous LG 41C. I find it hard to believe that for $139.00 you can get something in your hand that is as powerful and useful as the Fiesta. Many people have grown jaded by their smartphones which usually tells me they are addicted to their Android. It basically does everything phones costing 5-10+ as much. HSN has sold out these phones and customer service said they have no idea if they will be restocked.
5 1/2 inch screen and 13mp camera will blow you away. And the manual, which I downloaded onto the Fiesta is excellent and it tool all of a split second. Come with the latest Android 7. If you are fussy about the bloat wear, just buy it from Best Buy and then buy the airtime from Tracfone. More money but hardly worth it since you are likely to get a memory card with a ton of storage. Said.Yes I promise got it off hsn for 129 August 27 andriod version 7.0 l64vl10a software versionPhone name lg64vl but I haven't bought a card yet. Texting still won't work on my new LG Fiesta 2!I ordered mine from HSN, worked with Tracfone tech support, tried a new sim card with no luck, replaced phone with HSN for a duplicate, but still no texting on 2nd phone.
Tried other messages applications, but no texting. Never had problems with texting with other Tracfones or Straight talk before. So, two phones can't be defective, ya think? Calls work.I almost sense it's my location somehow, but tech support says no.I will have to order a different phone altogether, I guess.
Good thing HSN works this out for me. Anonymoussaid.Been having a problem with my Fiesta 2 voicemail. My home screen shows the voicemail icon and says New voicemail but my box is empty. When I try and use the voicemail button on my phone keypad it says I need to turn on my data for visual voicemail to sync. I've never had to use my wifi and data connection to retrieve voicemail. Can anyone recommend a voicemail app. I've already had to add the Verizon messege app because the one installed would not download MMS messages.
Purchased from HSN.Already did a factory reset and it just comes back. Said.Does anyone know how to attach a photo with a text on the LG Fiesta? It says to tap on the (+) symbol to attach. I don't have any icons or symbols for attaching. I have done the Wi-Fi OFF and Mobile Data ON thing and it doesn't work.
This was a HSN TSV. I love the size of the phone and almost everything about it. But no one, Not even TRACFONE, and I have been online and on the phone with them for HOURS the past couple of weeks. They don't know what they are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can anyone tell me how to attach a photo when there is no PLUS symbol or paper clip symbol, or the word attach on the text screen. I have already replaced this phone once and don't want to have to that again! Thanks! Anonymoussaid. Can anyone tell me how to attach a photo with a text on the FIESTA Tracfone from HSN?
I got it a few weeks ago. There is no (+) symbol/icon, paper clip, the word ATTACH anywhere on the texting screen, which is talked about on the HELP page.I have already gone through the wi-fi OFF and the mobile data ON routine and it doesn't work either. I am so frustrated after spending hours online and on the phone with the techs at Tracfone.
THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!!I already sent back one of these phones and don't want to return its replacement too, as I like the size of the phone and the long-lasting battery.Help, please! Said.SusanLilac - I had a problem with this too. The Fiesta is much larger than my last phone and I found that I wasn't holding the phone so the speaker at the top was next to my ear; it was ABOVE my ear and the sound was terrible. Once I lowered the phone a little the sound was fine. My hearing is good too and when this first happened to me I thought there was something wrong with the phone!
I hope this solves your volume issues. I've had the Fiesta (1) since August and couldn't be happier with it. Said.I bought a Fiesta 2 back in the beginning of January and started to use it in February. Right from the beginning I was disappointed with the brightness and saturation of the display.
It made all of my pictures from other cameras all washed out. Today I came to the conclusion while trying to use the phone outside and almost impossible to view pictures that the display must be defective. I run the brightness on the display at 100% all the time.

I wonder if anyone else had this problem? I called Evine and Tracfone today about it and they are in negotiations of who has to service my request for a new phone. I'm outside of Evine's 30 day policy and I'm inside Tracfone's 15 day from activation window. I love the phone and especially since I think now it is has a defective display. Hope to get a unit with a better display. Said.I hate to say it but I bought one and I'm NOT happy with the camera at all. I am also not happy with the fact that if I turn down the notifications sound it also turns down the text notifications and the phone's ringer.
It's annoying!! I went to a concert and took several videos and photos and then when I went to post them on Facebook they wouldn't post.
Come to find out they are WAY too big to do so. I tried to send them to my laptop via Bluetooth and after 6 hours they were still not moved.and in the process I lost 3 videos and several photos. I ended up having to use a program I downloaded to my laptop to make the videos smaller and I had to also make each photo smaller. This was all VERY time consuming!! To say the least, I am extremely unhappy with this phone. I equated the phone having higher pixels to being better photos and videos.nope.the videos are horrible and the sound sounds almost canned if you know what I mean.the photos are grainy and suck! I will be contacting my provider to see about exchanging this phone soon.
I only wish I knew which phone would have a better camera for the same price tag which was $100. Anyone have any suggestions??? Said. There's no need to get a new phone.
What you do need to do is familiarize yourself with the camera on the Fiesta 2 before you use it (or any phone's camera, for that matter). You have the ability to change the photo size, resolution and many more options. It sounds like you had everything set for maximum size and resolution which is why you got photos with massive file sizes. You will have this problem with ANY phone you buy unless you adjust your settings.I do have to say that you're the first person I've ever heard say that they are dissatisfied with their phone's camera because the pictures are too large and high quality. It's usually just the opposite. Said.I forgot to mention that you need to realize you are expecting premium photos and videos with a $100 phone, which is not realistic. You are not going to find a phone with a better camera than this one at the same price point. You also need to have a high end phone to be able to capture decent video and sound at a concert.
There are various models out there that have microphones designed for that. In fact, LG makes several such models. A lot of phones struggle with bad video and distorted sound while recording. They are simply not made for this, let alone a $100 phone. The Fiesta 2 is a great budget device with a lot of features for the price, but you need to be realistic on your expectations. Anonymoussaid.I have one and so do two of my kids. At the time we bought them they were the only Android 7 options we could find for Tracfone and they had the best rom/ram/memory for the price through HSN with the 1500mins. Price to what you get is outstanding. For each of us, this is the best PHONE we have yet to own.
That includes my son who had a Samsung Note that cost 6x as much. Here's my take:Good:1.
For the price, unbeatable still although options are growing.2. Fine, much better, less crashes than previous Samsung models or older less capable LGs.3. BATTERY: Awesome.
I can use it all day and still watch a movie at night and have 70% of my battery left. We all agree that the battery performance on this phone is great. The absolute best thing so far about this phone. We never run out unless just streaming internet videos for over 6 or 7 hours after a day's normal use.4.
The bloatware is not as annoying as on other phones I've had. Overall Android 7 seems pretty solid too.5. Actually a really nice size for reading e-books, you can hold it in one hand unlike tablet/phablet options.6. Screen, I don't see any quality or resolution problems, the screen is also the best I've had except for my Apple SE which is great, albeit too small.7. You can add micro-sd cards for more memory.8.
Syncs well with my Honda HRV, nice to have hands free conversations when needed.Less Good or Bad:1. The camera may be high megapixels but overall picture quality, performance and options are poor. Hey I bought a phone not a camera so it isn't a big deal to me. Don't expect it to be better image quality than cheaper phones that are known to perform well, it isn't.2. Audio quality is suitable, but not outstanding in my book.3.
Starting to get on the big side for a phone, I don't want a phone that's bigger as holding on will get really tough if any bigger. Get a good case for a grip or pop sockets or something to help and it is fine. My rubber case does the job.Verdict:Great for PHONE purposes with general Internet browsing.
Not perhaps the best for entertainment, but I find no problems watching things on it, playing some common games. Don't get it for the camera, unremarkable there but it functions. Late OS, less security concerns so that's good too.
