I'm having a similar problem with Windows 10 and Magic Jack. When I start up the Magic Jack app in an user account, the app works fine and call can be made to and from the Magic Jack handset.Once I try to switch to a different user account on the computer, the Magic Jack app stays connected after a telephone call is made but no audio can be heard from either direction, the calling telephone nor the receiving telephone.

However if I return tothe user account that the Magic Jack app is running in, the audio is restored for the telephone call previously made before switching user accounts.Previous to installing Windows 10, the audio of the magic jack app would work without trouble if a different user account was switched to while the magic jack app was running on another user account. What setting(s) do I need to make to cause the audio connection of the magic jack app to remain active even if the user account is switched to another user account on the computer? I am running MagicJack on a Windows 10 PC and it works fine. Use AlphaOmegaAB's suggestion, above, by unplugging the MJ from your USB port and plugging it back in. An MJ tech support agent suggested the same thing, but wait about 20 seconds before pluggingit back in. That worked for me. You may have to do it each time you shut down your computer, but probably not after a restart.Running in Win 7 or Win 8 compatibility mode would have been a nice alternative, but the MJ software doesn't reside on the computer, so that solution won't work.MagicJack tech support said the Win 10 version was supposed to come out in September, but it isn't here yet.
Keep watching for it.
