This file format was introduced so that it’s easier to share themes to other Windows 7 systems. Another format with.deskthemepack extension was introduced in Windows 8, which can also be used for this tutorial. Instructions in this post works in Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10 systems as well.

I removed this settings and the theme is now a slide show.
.themepack won't install on Windows 10 I'm trying to install a.themepack file but it just keeps opening Desktop Icon Settings. I also tried extracting the.themepack into a folder and placed it to my themes folder but it still wont apply.
