2017 Quickbooks
Intuit has started pushing out the Release 4 update to the QuickBooks 2017 (desktop) product line. This release includes updates, improvements and fixes to Pro, Premier, Enterprise and Accountant versions of QuickBooks desktop software.

Qb2017r4I know that many users of Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 had real issues when they found out that QuickBooks 2017 wasn't going to run under that particular server OS because QuickBooks wouldn't recognize it as a supported server OS when attempting to install. Those problems should now be resolved with this latest update.Another issue resolved by this release dealt with email-related problems when QuickBooks could not connect to the email server when emailing using web mail, most commonly a Yahoo email address. It can not find a certain file and shuts down Q'books program. I did not catch error code, but it's a 'Call Quickbooks for Assistance' message - NO THANX. Luckily, i, as always when dealing with Q'Books, created a Restore point just before releasing the update (the Kraken?).
